Dr. Li has been Appointed as the Assistant Team Physician for the New York Mets Professional Baseball Team
Dr. Li has been appointed as the Assistant Team Physician for the New York Mets professional baseball team for the 2011 to 2012 season. His responsibilities include evaluating and treating professional baseball players from the Single A League to the Major Leagues. Dr. Li was with the NY Mets team during spring training in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Dr. Li, Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and former NCAA Division I tennis player for Campbell University received the prestigious Resident Clinician Scientist Training Grant from The Orthopaedic Research Education Foundation (OREF).
AOA / OREF Resident Leadership Forum and AOA Emerging Leaders Program
Dr. Li was selected by the University of Massachusetts Orthopaedics program to attend the 2010 AOA/OREF Resident Leadership Forum. “The AOA Resident Leadership Forum acknowledges PGY-4 residents as young orthopaedic leaders by giving them an opportunity to develop their leadership skills”. In addition, Dr. Li was also inducted into the prestigious AOA Emerging Leaders Program.

Dr. Li was featured in the Campbell University Magazine for receiving the prestigious research grant from the Orthopaedic Research Education Foundation (OREF). Dr. Li was the first resident from the University of Massachusetts Medical School to receive this research grant.
Dr. Li receives the 2009 Eastern Orthopaedic Association Resident Research Award and Travel Grant for his Research Project

Surgery Improves Athletes’ Ankle Stability After Sprain
Dr. Li was featured in the Reuters News Health section for his research on surgical reconstruction of the lateral ankle ligaments for athletes with ankle instability that failed at least 6 months of conservative treatment.
